Inspired by hippski, I made another detour from Lake Garda into the mountains. Ascent to Vittorio Emanuelle, winter room is open. In the meantime, a good 500 m of carrying passage. Glacier super snow-covered, amazing panorama from the summit of the Gran Paradiso and hardly any people on the way. Fantastic descent via the Chabod hut. Directly below the summit still a bit hard, then it turned into firn, the last few meters then summer snow. It was great fun again. The few kilometers back on the road were a nice meditative finale. Immediately after I had packed my skis at the parking lot in Pont, it started to rain and the bad weather front arrived. Everything done right.
