Snow condition
Around Gr. St. Bernhard on the Italian side (Aosta) sufficient snow conditions for tours with high starting points (>1,600 m). Passable base, especially on the north side. Little snow on the ridge and rock contact can hardly be avoided. It is best to choose a tour with a high starting point and a forest road at the beginning. Mont Rodzo can be done very well from the car, road snowed in, below approx. 2,000 meters little snow and it will probably be thin there in the next few days.
Snow quality
Divided into two parts: >2,200 m still nice powder on the shaded side, below 2,000 then changeable with light melting snow cover
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Little snow, stones
Overall impression
On the north side above ~2200 m beautiful powder with sufficient base and dream weather.
