Snow condition
Difficult. Not only does a base at 1400m lack, which was compensated by the snowfalls, but they since this season plow the road which was once skiable, for a person planting an airbnb claiming being the "refugio dei mineiri"? What a disgrace. Whatever... Above 1600m certainly 3 stars, but relative to the season, and I can only speak of 3 seasons experience, this is the minimum.
Snow quality
Deep, creamy and fast but a little too grippy, too reactive. But conditions change so fast.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
No wind wind had affected the snowfall. Intuitively all felt stable. But, on my own in the evening, I did not attempt Pizzo Alto. That would have been a tough question, because all above 2000m was, like predicted, loaded with 40cm of fresh snow, and I was able to confirm.
Overall impression
I wanted to call this tour 1 star at the start, carrying skis and drops of melting snow falling from the trees on me. I'd call it good 3 stars, after skiing down from the top, because the snow was so deep and still fast. A great approval of PG-PowderGrams again, it was spot on. I hope that your PowderGrams are working as well. My companions could not join me, which made the experience, despite some friendly encounters, even deeper. Descending in sunset is special. Without Nia and Cesare.
