Snow condition
Not bad for the Gruyere, actually, as it has had to make do without snow for almost the last five years. Now you can go off-piste if you want, but not without the odd scrape or two. At the top about 60-80 cm in blown-in areas at the bottom more like 40 cm
Snow quality
The temperature gauge on the lift showed +7°C. That would have been a strong wind chill with almost no wind. No, it was much colder and just below freezing. Accordingly, the fresh snow kept it nice and fluffy until the afternoon.
Risks
You can actually see some sluf slides where it is steep enough. Anyone who has ever been to La Berra knows that it's almost impossible to get there. For planks or something similar, you would have to go and have a look in the open terrain above the tree line. But that would not be in La Berra.
Overall impression
Just a few turns in the afternoon. But they were quite decent and there was some proper banging through the vegetables instead of just a smooth hangover counter program.
About banging, a great lush, powdery new year to you all!
