Maybe I'm just being too critical in awarding stars, which is due to the brutally good early season, but unfortunately there isn't much of a base here yet under the fluffy 40cm of fresh snow that has fallen since Tuesday evening. The valley run is not officially open yet, but it is possible if you don't have the latest sledges under your feet.

Faceshots are possible today! Fluffy, super-cold snow lies around in all exposures and lures all the locals out of their holes. At 2400 it's windy at the top, below it's carefree. There would be even less wind in the forest - but still not enough base for pure, carefree fun.

Risks

There was an SLF 3 here today. There was a lot of blasting in the early morning and most of it came off - especially on the Chavanette.

Great snow-sniffing (=snow up to the nose) day, which was much needed after an almost 20-day powder drought in Valais.
Give Portes du Soleil 2 more snowfalls and the playground will be usable without restrictions. Chutes are possible, but should be used with caution. Pierre Plat has a big Vechte, but with stable snow cover from the weekend onwards, the north-facing slopes will probably be open too.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
