At the Col DU Pilot there is about 2m at the parking lot. Nevertheless, some places are blatantly swept clear by the wind. Among them the traverse in the "Virodrame" which is passable but not without stone contact.

That very traverse is also dangerously icy. Apart from that, it's actually the same grippy, hard snow everywhere. On and off the piste. You don't notice any difference. But almost completely free of ice slabs. With a lot of luck, you will find lines that have received the transported packed snow and are correspondingly softer.

Risks

None, except perhaps on the low-lying, strongly exposed southern slopes in the course of warming - but as soon as it snows on this completely hard, thick layer, it becomes very dangerous in all exposures. I can't imagine that the cover will change quickly.

In principle, anything goes, because there's snow everywhere. But not without a certain risk of falling on the exposed icy traverses. We'd like to change that again soon.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
