Well, first there was a lot of snow, then a foehn, then rain, then snow again.
Snow quality
What was left was a warm slush snow blanket with 25 cm of new material that was very fluffy and then turned over very quickly.
Risks
Risk of hanging in steep shadows where the Föhn storm had not cleared everything away very high. Snow quickly soaked, probably due to the sweaty old snow cover from the previous day. During the course of the day with the warming, there were a lot of slopes down to the ground on the steep slopes.
Overall impression
It was a cool 25cm of "European alpine blower", even for such a short time in the Freiburg region. Then from midday, slushy cardboard with a good braking effect. Hope it finally gets cold.
