Les Diablerets- Leftovers from the surprise dump of the week
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Very good, valley descent possible, no sharks, no brown spots. Apart from the bottom chutes and the totally south-facing steep slopes.
Snow quality
Nice layer of rime on the powder residue in the low elevations in the forest. Older boot-deep powder at higher elevations around 2000. A clear sun crust in the totally south-facing areas. Completely very good on the north side.
Risks
Eastern slopes in an appropriately protected location are very critical. The fish mouths are opening up and some of them are spontaneously releasing medium-sized fish. At higher altitudes (glacier 3000), several spontaneous large slides were seen as a result of the warming. Furthermore, the wind packs in the shady northern locations do not yet make a stable impression
Overall impression
Still quite decent, a bit of searching in the forest and it's still high winter. In the open areas, certainly nice for mini golf tours or high altitude cruiser tours.
