Descent on artificial snow to the trunk in Ollon possible on the south side On the north side, this would not have been a problem next to the piste. In Les Diablerets there is considerably more snow than on the Rhone valley side. Above 2000, there is suddenly a lot more.

Slush from 10 am to 2 pm, then it starts to freeze again.

Risks

As it doesn't radiate at night, it's a bit worrying as soon as the wind cover is gone during the day and you sag in the afternoon. Otherwise I would rate it favorably at these altitudes (below 2200).

Overall impression

Slushy turns and off-road battles with seasonally strengthened thighs in Herosnow are great fun. Unfortunately, the time window doesn't last forever. In the end, the rising cold and damp wind made it pretty uncomfortable. Add to that the rapidly changing visibility. You're glad when you can get out of your slippers in time for the barbecue and cool your glowing toes with a beer.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
