From the fork in the trail above the lower Gurnigelhütte you could ski up. The descent to the lake with stone slalom in the lowest part is possible without any problems.
Snow quality
Good gliding wet snow. Under the skis and on the old snow! Some cardboard, some ice on steep slopes exposed to the wind.
Risks
Wet snow slides on west and north-facing slopes, the snow is very warm and moist!
Overall impression
Timing was perfect, ascent in the fog. The clouds break in the sunset. Descent in the glowing red snow of the alpenglow.
