Snow report Verbier, 01/13/2018
Rosablanche via Col de la chaux
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Western exposures heavily blown clear, otherwise very good conditions, lots of snow.
Snow quality
From the summit to below the dam wall at Lac de Cleuson top, fluffy overlay of 30-40cm. Below that a very solid base.
Risks
Old precipices visible, above the crossing at the reservoir with a 1-meter drop-off edge. Although the danger is no longer extreme, I would not underestimate the wind loads.
Overall impression
Great tour, panorama in a class of its own from the Matterhorn to the Grand Combin and Mont Blanc. Conditions were also very good.
