La Fouly - From Zero to Hero

Snow condition
It hasn't gotten any worse since yesterday, but overnight the wind had blown parts of the umbrella bar and the odd ski route to another slope. The 5cm of fresh, felty snow got better and better as the day went on. From 2 p.m. onwards, the snowfall was so heavy that at 3 p.m. everything could be retracked on reset. By the time we left shortly before five, there was about 25-30cm of fresh snow on the car
Snow quality
Hardly a hard spot left in the evening. By midday, however, small wind slabs had been noticed on ridges and in open terrain. A little rain crust in the lower part, which was lost in the snowfall. There is a lot of dust almost everywhere. And the pillows are thick and fluffy.
Risks
The fresh snow from yesterday evening must have gone somewhere. In the open terrain, we were even more defensive than the last few days. The picture hopefully shows the new cornices above the routes. The upper avalanche gates are twice as full as yesterday, everything is blown up. Tension is noticeable in the sparse forests at the tree line. It crunches and pushes slabs. This intensified considerably over the course of the day.
Overall impression
Always a pleasure, free refills make every day a good one that you don't want to end. The forecast precipitation in the form of rain is very hard to bear when you have to leave beautiful "Little Canada" in its winter dress like this.
