Rosablanche
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
20-40cm of fresh snow on the crusty base did us good! Almost no more rock contact in the area. At the top over the backside and to the Rosablanche a full 40cm, only the summit area of the Rosablanche has been blown away and marked by the wind.
Snow quality
Nice amount of fresh snow, already heavy in the sun around noon. But as usual, I got lost in no time in the sections that were accessible without an ascent.
Risks
Saw some blasting successes, but the impression given was that the fresh snow was well bonded.
Overall impression
Sunny day, beautiful lines in the area and a few vertical meters off-piste at the end. It could be worse!
