On the north side or in couloirs, it is filled with 20-30 cm of fresh snow up to approx. 1800 m. Further up, locally up to 40 cm. All other exposures are variable and sometimes with little carpet pad.

I'm referring to shady slopes - there's a nice new layer of the finest powder there. Where the sun was beating down below about 2200 meters, it got heavier as the day progressed.

Risks

According to Slf today a 3 - still quite justified. Not all tours in the area are safe. On my explorations, some smaller loose snow avalanches (sluff) were triggered, which are less likely to bury you but can easily carry you away on steep slopes if you're not fast enough. There is probably still a risk of slipping in deeper layers on some slopes!

A remarkably beautiful mid-winter day here! And we were just powder skiing. Probably around 8,000 deep snow meters in our legs and backs. Ahhh oui ;)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
