It could also be four stars for Verbier, which is not a reservoir. The valley is still easily accessible from the north. On the sunny side, spring is slowly showing its teeth and the snow is retreating from the valley. But from 1500m it still looks good here too.

Tends to be very good on shady slopes, except where the wind was in. Very nice preserved powder, especially in the forest. On the sunny side, it was also good to ski after sufficient thawing. For us, it wasn't quite enough for a really good melting hardpack with slush conditions, maybe that will come in the second half of the week with the warmer temperatures.

Risks

Difficult to say, as it is miles away from the limit. The wind probably led to some drifting snow packs. Clouds came in from midday and it freshened up, so wet snow was mainly an issue at lower altitudes and on the access road.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Some touring and then skiing in the area in objectively really nice conditions, which would have allowed for more.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
