The snow situation is really not bad at high and medium altitudes. On the south side, there have of course been some wet snow avalanches due to the warmth, which have cleared lower slopes. On the north side, you can still ski down to the valley with a little creativity.

Snow quality

2 stars for the good firn conditions. On the north side there is still a bit of powder here and there, but mostly wind-harsh.

Risks

Very safe thanks to the many cold-warm cycles in most expos, although there is still a weak old snow foundation in steep northern locations. The danger is probably quite low, but still present.

Overall impression

Sun and firn. Great for ski touring, but a little more would be nice right now. It doesn't look so good for the Verbier Extreme. The Bec des Rosses is damn dry in the right part, the snow quality is, according to a remote diagnosis, the best broken snow. It's not entirely clear how a freeride contest is supposed to take place there at the weekend.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
