Tours in and around Verbier in good conditions
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Naturally good at higher altitudes at this time of year. Below 2000m, however, it quickly becomes less. After unbuckling a few times, we reached 1300m on the north side on Sunday.
Snow quality
Saturday in Verbier rather modest (dust on crust). Sunday in the Trient valley very good, as it had snowed a bit more here and the base was smoother. Nice powder up to 2600m then a light crust turning into slush.
Risks
Relatively relaxed. However, smaller snow packs could still be triggered on high, steep leeward slopes.
Overall impression
After a mixed Saturday on the Bec, Sunday was really good. Further west in the Argentiere basin it also looked good and some sporty lines were skied on the north faces.
