Bruson - Verbier snowed in
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
But now, with today's thick dump, you can only catch the rocks that were never skiable. In contrast to what the SLF says, it has snowed at least twice as much. 60cm+. Why do I know that, well I got at least 15cm from my car this morning and after skiing there was about 40cm again. It's still snowing heavily now. It will probably last until mid-February at least.
Snow quality
Sinking with powder boards in champagne powder. Never thought that the treeruns in _Bruson wouldn't be steep enough. The stuff is completely unbound and flies through the area. A dream
Risks
The 4s in the upper elevations and on the access road indicate that the wind has transported the large amounts of snow and loaded the slopes. The blasting started in the afternoon. In the sheltered forest, there were no snowstorms, but with the large amounts of sluff, terrain traps are certainly very important, especially because you get stuck because the snow is bottomless. Furthermore, I wouldn't choose another tree avalanche as a shower, there's quite a lot on it.
Overall impression
We are practically snowed in at La Fouly. The whole of the Lower Valais is a traffic chaos because it has snowed so much. Skiing was insane. I've rarely skied so bottomless, as long as it was still possible and you didn't get stuck. But if you can powder 40cm on the piste, it's certainly a special day. One more ray of sunshine and then great!
