Not great, but less bad than feared

Snow condition
In the Val de Bagnes there is about 10cm on the north side at 1500m, at 2000m about 30cm, and it won't be much more than that further up. But you can ski in wind-protected areas and gullies and that's better than nothing (keyword Southern Alps). But of course it's not the best and you should avoid sunny, wind-exposed or rocky areas as much as possible.
Snow quality
Better than expected. There was good powder on the north side. On the south and west sides, the snow softened several times and froze over again, so not so great
Risks
Little, well-settled snow ensured relatively safe conditions. In the meantime, it has snowed a few more centimetres, but this should not dramatically increase the danger - watch out for old snow in high, north-facing areas.
Overall impression
A quick update from Verbier last weekend. It's snowed a few centimetres since then, but that doesn't help anyone. It's probably slightly better in the north and west of Valais, but I doubt that it's really great there - there are a lot of stones on the slopes, but what else would you expect? Due to the high temperatures, artificial snow production is on the back burner. The slopes are correspondingly moderate. The same applies here: not the best, but at least you can ski.
