Snow condition
No deduction possible. I did the last deep powder turn practically in the parking lot in Le Chable.
Snow quality
No deduction possible. Dust on Powder is simply unbeatable. Approx. 40cm fresh on the last thick dump which was already deep as a bag. Amazing, I've never had that before.
Risks
No subsidence noticed in the somewhat frayed areas. It stayed cold until the afternoon. The blasting we heard from Verbier started in the afternoon after the lifts closed, but probably because of the large amount of fresh snow. However, the amount of sluff is enormous and certainly a serious danger in the off-piste traps.
Overall impression
This time we got five stars even without the sun. Visibility was good enough and there were always small blue holes in the clouds showing us the snow-covered Welsh peaks. Powder until the lift closes and then collect the last face shots as far as the parking lot. There was a lot of snow, some of the forest tracks were no longer passable as they were too steep due to the huge snow walls. Madness
