Snow report Verbier, 12/19/2014
Verbier three levels
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
First stage nothing. Not even snowmaking possible on the valley descent. Second stage From les Ruinettes little fresh snow that melts immediately. Off-piste hardly possible. Third stage from the col de Gentianes there is powder that can also be skied.
Snow quality
Good at the top, nothing at the bottom. In between, only good until midday due to the strong warming.
Risks
Clearly underestimated due to the lack of snow. I released a board that was in a completely blown-in slope. Head against the wall face. 10 minutes later, the whole slope came down with a 20cm edge.
Overall impression
Apart from the experience described above, it was certainly great to ski on fresh snow. But when you have to ski down and there are rocks on the slope at an altitude of 2700m. Then there are not so many stars left.
