Sehr kritische Verhaeltnisse im Val de Bagnes und Umgebung
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Very tough. You could also give it a second star because you can do a bit, but even in northern expos, where there was little wind, you tend to catch a few stones. The area is quite rocky
Snow quality
A little bit of everything. On the north side, the building transformation has already started again and in such wind-protected locations it's really very good. You should avoid everything on the south side, as it is bad and there is little/no snow.
Risks
Very, very critical. In the last three days, we have seen a lot of self-triggering and skier avalanches. The fresh snow from last week lies on a very weak foundation. On top of that, there were strong winds from all directions at the weekend: an absolutely shitty avalanche situation that will remain so for the time being.
Overall impression
There really isn't much to gain at the moment. Some good snow here and there contrasts with lots of rocks and an extremely dangerous avalanche situation. Unfortunately, there have been many fatalities in the area in the last few days. Better to stay at home and play cards...
