The 50cm of fresh snow down into the valley last Saturday did us good, but it can't hide the fact that there was hardly any snow before. We dug up a lot of roots in the forest and a lot of stones higher up.

Snow quality

Pretty fluffy. Due to the cold, even yesterday. With the coming warming, the snow should settle a little more.

Risks

Tricky. There wasn't quite as much wind at low and medium altitudes as at high altitudes, but the base is often quite poor. We've had a lot of whammy noises every day since Sunday, even yesterday. The danger of avalanches has been well preserved due to the cold.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

The last few days were unexpectedly good and there were surprisingly few people out and about. With the current warming, the avalanche situation will hopefully ease a little and the snow cover will improve so that you don't hit the ground quite so often. And there's already some more snow in sight

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
