Very modest. You can do some tours in Val Ferret and, with restrictions, also in the other valleys around Verbier. But the rocks are always close by.

So long after the last snowfall and with multiple wind influences, only one different variation of harsch was to be found in almost all exposures. Rare exceptions confirm the rule.

Risks

Very relaxed until the 1st. However, the old snow forms a very poor base for the coming snowfall. The snow cover under the harsh snow consists largely of cohesionless semolina on the north side (=where there is a base) and thus forms a pronounced weak layer.

Something always works with the right motivation and to say something positive: this was the first Christmas season for a long time without a serious avalanche risk. Let's see how it turns out with the fresh snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
