Snow condition

Very good in terms of volume, stumps and smaller rocks are covered up to 1400m. Above 2000m, the wind influence of the last few weeks is noticeable, as ridges and ridges are free.

Snow quality

The continuous rain yesterday conjured up hardpack up to 1700m overnight, above that there's a cap up to 2200m. Above that it could be fun, but there the wind has filled gullies and hollows. The wind came from the west.

Risks

There was wind during the snowfall. The slope in the Vallee de la Sionne in the SLF test area is visibly unloaded from the opposite side of the Rhone Valley due to a wet snow slide. Otherwise, there is considerable danger from the wind loads.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Tendency towards four stars, but in my opinion the altitude with cap-free powder poses a high risk. With the predicted amount of fresh snow in the next few days, the avalanche risk is likely to remain high.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
