Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

The snow conditions are currently optimal in South Tyrol, the last snowfall was on January 5th. On our tour there was over a meter of snow in places.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The snow quality below 1900m is a little wet and heavy, but still good to ski. Above that there is powder of the finest quality. Especially on the northern slopes, the snow is perfect. Above 2500m it gets a bit harder, there you will mostly only find broken snow. There is a lot of wind in the summit area at 2650m, the snow is sometimes very windswept.

Risks

The avalanche situation is relaxed. Some of the steeper slopes have already slipped. At the moment, you are relatively safe on a 2-level slope.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

The tour is an absolute dream between 1900m and 2500m. A perfect powder experience.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
