Ski touring WE in the Vinschgau Valley

Snow condition
The snow conditions looked pretty good. On both days, it was possible to start from the car and ski down without any problems. If the temperatures remain at this rather high level, it could soon become a little thin, especially on the south side. The ascent and descent do not have to be adapted to the snow conditions. Still three stars.
Snow quality
We had everything this WE. In wind-protected north-facing areas, a nicely set powder, on the north-facing side with wind a thin wind cover and on the sunny side at higher altitudes a super firn that turns into slush as the altitude drops. The wind has left clear traces high up in the Alps. Especially on the north side, you should pay close attention to wind-protected tours when planning your tour.
Risks
We found classic spring conditions today in an easterly exposure with a small northern component. The snow cover made a very stable and frozen impression. Yesterday in the northern exposure it was completely different. In some places, the snow cover did not look stable. Some of the tracks sank in considerably! The wind that was coming up was really starting to blow. In flatter terrain, the overall situation was fine (around 35°). We didn't want to venture into steeper terrain and abandoned the tour. With the wind picking up, my impression was more in the direction of a considerable warning level (unconsolidated snowpack + drifting snow). LWS low was issued. This refers to the north-facing ski tour in high alpine terrain.
Overall impression
A great ski touring WE! The weather played along most of the time and the snow conditions were more than okay most of the time.
