Compared to the average and, of course, especially compared to the last two years, there is really little snow. This is particularly noticeable in the high altitudes, where there is really very little. In the middle altitudes it's not so bad, compared to higher up it's actually close to the average. In Val Martello, for example, the snow starts a good 10 minutes' walk above the Zufallhütte, while at the Casati hut there is just over half the average amount of snow. Overall, less snow than in mid-July 2013, for example, so it probably won't be a long season this year.

Quite ok. A little fresh snow that was blown away by the wind. It must have rained a long way up beforehand, even at around 3200m you can find a crust of rain in blown-off areas. It's quite pleasant to ski in blown-in areas high up, then slush and firn further down.

Risks

Relatively relaxed, pay attention to daily warming.

Overall impression

Currently still quite ok, but with warm weather it will soon no longer be worthwhile.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
