Snow report Warth / Schröcken, 01/08/2014
Das warten geht weiter und es wird langsam bitter!

Snow condition
The fresh snow from last week can only be found on slopes on the shady side. Sunny, exposed areas have a snow cover if there is still snow.
Snow quality
In the leeward areas and NNW-NNO exposures, there is still some fine powder on the rather sparse base above 1700-1800m.
Risks
The avalanche situation is easing a little more every day and the blown-in packs can settle and solidify. Some of the sunny slopes at lower altitudes are beginning to move as wet snow slides, just like in the past.
Overall impression
You can ski, but it's still not enough for unadulterated powder fun. With good local knowledge and a few restrictions, you can plan an acceptable tour with a few nice turns, but it is definitely more time-consuming than last winter at this time of year.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
