Snow condition
Below 1100 m it's more like 2 stars and above that it's not as thick as it looks everywhere. Before the fresh snow, there was a strong fluctuation in snow thickness over a large area. Even today, some blades of grass or ridges still peeked out at 1700 m. Forests and forest roads are not always passable and still have too little snow below 1400 m. South-facing snow cover down to low altitudes. Skiing in the forest only possible on the north side above 1400m and in the slightly lighter forest. Otherwise there is still clearly too little base (see picture)
Snow quality
fine powder snow. nothing to complain about
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Fences not yet completely covered in snow and half-snow-covered stones are still a certain risk at the moment. No avalanche activity observed today
Overall impression
Nice cold winter day with good snow conditions. A little more base in the middle areas instead of warm rain would be desirable.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
