Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Altitude
800 - 1800m
Avalanche warning level
low (1)
Exposition
Snow condition
Still very inhomogeneous, like the whole of last month. The fresh snow makes it more dangerous, as the traps are slightly covered with snow again. Up to 20cm of new snow in hollows. In the forest above 1200m ok thanks to compact old snow cover, below that a reduction in the weight of the material is to be expected.
Snow quality
About 10cm of powder on sometimes more, sometimes less hard ground, depending on the expo and terrain. In the afternoon already a bit damp at the bottom
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Very stable, everything steep in the area has been skied (including by me). Due to changing types of snow, a fall is more likely to occur there
Overall impression
Super day with unfortunately a little too little fresh snow. But very steep terrain was possible.
