Exposition
Snow condition
Today it was still possible to go up and down without unbuckling, although it did get narrow in some places and you had to watch out for rocks that might poke out.
Snow quality
Usable firn conditions for February. Due to the many avalanche bumps, however, the downhill options are much more limited than usual, and here too the surface was often not as homogeneous as one would wish due to water runnels and slides.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Rarely seen so many avalanche slides on this tour. This shows impressively what has been on offer here recently. Followed the advice of the Tyrolean avalanche blog exactly today: South side below 2400 m, early start. It remains incomprehensible why, with the avalanche situation, the caravans are moving towards you far into the valley on the descent. But that has apparently always worked out well.
Overall impression
With spring temperatures today, a spring classic with conditions like in April. I ❤️ PowderGramme!

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
