Thanks to the pistes, there is just enough snow for a descent to Vent. Above about 2500m, the snow cover is really closed on the south side

Hard, pressed snow
Firn
Jelly snow

Everything froze at night and the next day you could ski great sizzling firn on the south side from around 10 am. Even old avalanche cones were soft enough not to be particularly disturbing.

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Beautiful firn tour (wildspitz südcouloir)! Thanks to the corresponding tour recommendation here on PowderGuide. The nice thing about spring is that it's not particularly annoying in firn when 6 people ski down a gully in front of you. At least you can see whether the snow is already soft enough for enjoyable skiing.
