Clearly not enough fun. The fresh snow of the last few days covers the green meadow for the time being. The cold fresh snow is around 20 cm to 30 cm. A few turns in the terrain are possible but definitely no more. Despite the poor snow conditions, there are plenty of people skiing around in the terrain. The noises from their sports equipment confirm the assumption of poor snow conditions ;).

The fresh snow would be fine if it just lay on a base. A mixture of artificial snow, ice and some natural snow on the slopes.

Risks

Up to an altitude of around 1900 m, there is too little snow and the main dangers are more likely to come from stone contacts and on the slopes from many bad winter sports enthusiasts. At an altitude above 1900 m, there was an icy layer under the fresh snow. Probably caused by rain up to high altitude, could possibly become relevant in the future.

Well, it still takes a while to have fun in Zauchensee. The area is packed with holidaymakers and visibility was severely limited, at least it was snowing...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
