Das warten hat ein Ende, endlich Powder in Hochfügen

Overall impression
Snow condition
Finally you have a good base, a good 50cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 2 days. Unfortunately, there was no base here either, which is why you keep coming into contact with the enemy. But if you ride with the handbrake on and choose your line well, you can have a lot of fun.
Snow quality
The fresh snow has actually fallen in the tree line without the influence of wind and is very fluffy. That's why we were only out in the forest today. Towards the afternoon, however, you could tell that the snow was getting heavier from around 1600m upwards.
Risks
No slides or cracks in the snow cover were seen in the forest today. I would rate the situation as relaxed. However, you have to watch out for branches and roots, as there was no foundation here either until a few days ago. At 2200m, the wind was still blowing today, so you could see drifts and drifting snow. As soon as the weather improves over the next few days, you should definitely be careful and not be fooled.
Overall impression
A really strong day and the base is now finally in the Zillertal. What could be better than finally being able to ski powder with your ski buddies?
