From Friday to Saturday, another 40 cm was added. You don't have to worry about your equipment any more. Today we were able to ski down from 2360m (Hochzillertal) to Aschau on the Zillertalbahn. An older gentleman said "he hasn't experienced this for a long time". The snow conditions are great at the moment.

The fresh snow was powdery and loose, it couldn't have been better! Even at low speeds, everything flies around your ears.

Risks

That was a critical part today. The wind was pretty strong today, so the only place for us today was in the forest. The Hochfügen cable cars closed the lifts at 14:30 today. The persistent snowfall and the strong wind made the avalanche situation too dangerous. Defensive skiing was mandatory today! The next few days will be even more critical. In places, the snowpack was quite susceptible to disruption and a slight load was enough to trigger cracks or slush. Towards Kaltenbach, the ridges and crests were completely free of snow, the drift snow will keep us busy here for the next few days.

A dream day with an incredible amount of fresh snow. I've never experienced so much here.
Unusually..... there were almost no freeriders, but it didn't bother me ;)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
