Eisige Piste und Tour in Mayrhofen
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Very little snow, valley descent not possible. Ridges and ridges partly almost free, with absolute knowledge of the terrain there are still a few routes to be found on north-facing slopes with sufficient snow in places. Rock contact up to the middle station can be avoided with the right choice of route.
Snow quality
Pleasant snow quality can only be found on north-facing slopes with appropriate knowledge of the area. There is some settled, heavy powder interspersed with more difficult, surprisingly icy conditions. Otherwise, away from the pistes, exclusively rutted and icy terrain that is not pleasant to ski, hard and partly icy, but skiable
Risks
Avalanche warning level very low. However, accumulations of drift snow should not be underestimated.
Overall impression
Mostly very poor conditions away from the pistes. Thanks to our local knowledge, we found a few powder turns that were characterized by poor conditions before and after. Thanks to the few turns, the weather and the view, the day was still worth it!
The slopes were very hard and often icy.
