Descent to valley (to 1200 m)

Good snow conditions on the north side, on the south side it looks very thin. Ridges have been blown away by the wind.

Snow quality

Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Powdery snow throughout on the north side, above approx. 1900m with wind influence. Becoming heavier at the bottom as the day progresses due to the rather warm temperatures.

Wind drifted snow

North North-Eas East South-East

Intensity: medium

Altitude: 1900 m – 2500 m

Risks

North West North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Drifting snow is currently the main danger, with extensive snow drifts in higher elevations today too. The not too large amounts of fresh snow are still making the situation assessable, but unfortunately this will change soon.

Overall impression

Worse

Nice touring day in the Zillertal, unexpectedly there were even first lines in good powder snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
