Snow condition
Becomes slow. Between two and three stars. Apart from the south side, the snow is now sufficient for almost everything. Rock contact is rare, at least with good visibility like today.
Snow quality
Mostly good. Above the tree line strongly influenced by wind and therefore partly with cover, further down then mostly powdery, heavy on south-facing slopes, partly with light cover on steep south-facing slopes (expect heavier cover tomorrow). But in many places still really good, settled powder.
Risks
Still critical. We have not observed any activity today, but the wind loads and the still poor build-up of snow cover are omnipresent.
Overall impression
Great weather, snow still pretty good, one of the better days of the season so far.
