The snow situation in the Zillertal and especially in Hochfügen is very good. There is so much snow that contact with the enemy is impossible.

Snow quality

I've been waiting for this all season and today was the day. Blower at its finest, cold, dry and totally loose. A good 25 cm of fresh snow fell from Sunday to Monday. The somewhat hard ground was a nuisance from time to time.

Risks

Depending on the terrain, not without. The cold fresh snow that fell during the night didn't bond with the base and therefore slush came with almost every turn on steep terrain. I'm quite critical of steep terrain as the snowpack was quite susceptible to disruption. The contour slope of Big Mountain Hochfügen had some large cracks in the slope. When there is fresh snow and the edges are snowed in, it becomes quite dangerous!

A great day with perfect snow and face shots on every descent. Strangely little competition in the terrain.
This will be hard to top.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
