Variations of snow cover

In the steeper south-facing terrain below 2200 m, you have to reckon with carrying routes in 2 weeks at the latest if the temperatures stay like this. Today we were still able to go up and ski down without carrying tracks. In general, the snow conditions are reasonable for the beginning of March.

Firn

Buttery soft firn with the start of the descent at 12 noon.

Risks

Old snow problem
Diurnal warming

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

We were able to see numerous old runs that have gone down to the bottom. Weak old snow should still be observed. On the sunny side, classic spring conditions prevailed after a clear night (end activities early).

Overall impression

Worse

A perfect firn day with the best weather, few people and still without carrying sticks.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
