And another ski tour in the Tux Alps
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Still good, on the south side where there was actually only fresh snow from last weekend, it is slowly becoming snowy again. Otherwise, you can still get down into the valley quite well, although you have to make concessions on the east and west sides below around 1600m.
Snow quality
Still great on the north side, whereby even small deviations in the exposure no longer mean powder, but broken snow. Below around 1600 m, there is also a light cover on the north side, and firn is more common on steeper sunny slopes.
Risks
Quite relaxed, but you should watch out for daytime warming and the danger of wet snow avalanches.
Overall impression
Another really good day, but it was really busy today and there's a lot of track now. What's more, the snow isn't getting any better due to the high temperatures, so it's probably time to switch to firn tours.
