Descent to valley (to 1300 m)

Snow conditions still ok for the end of March, but towards the valley it's slowly getting scarce even on forest paths or won't last much longer. The third star is therefore just about enough.

Wind drifted snow

Snow unfortunately not so great on the north side. In principle, it would still be good above about 1800m, but the wind has caused a good cover here. Where the wind didn't reach or was weaker was still quite nice, but a sunny firn tour would have been better today.

Wind drifted snow

North North-Eas North-West

Intensity: medium

Altitude: 1800 m – 2400 m

Risks

Old snow problem
Fresh avalanches
Diurnal warming
South-East South South-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Avalanches are not everywhere and we have also seen some steeper tracks in the area, but also several snow slabs that have been triggered or gone off in the last few days. I prefer to stay on the flat or ski on firn.

Avalanche activity

North

Dry slab avalanche (small)

Altitude: 2100 m

Overall impression

Equal

Unfortunately, the snow is no longer as good, but you can certainly be more successful and find a less windy area. Avalanche situation still rather bad, firn tours would be the order of the day now.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
