Snow condition

On the north side there is a continuous snow cover from approx. 1600m. Much higher on the south side. Depending on the altitude of the starting point, the route to the snow line is a long one. Further up, the snow cover is acceptable.

Breakable crust
Firn
Powder snow

Still powdery snow on the north and northeast side above approx. 2300m. Northwest already capped up to higher elevations. Below 2300m transition to firn. It had frozen through overnight. In places, however, not stable on foot and too steep with crampons.

Risks

Diurnal warming
South

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Daytime warming, otherwise the snow cover makes a stable impression.

Powder, firn and sun. Beautiful tour with a slightly longer carrying passage to the snow line. Unfortunately, the time of clear nights and dry air is over for now...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
