Snow condition

The last snowfalls haven't made any major changes to the overall situation. Gullies and hollows have been filled up a little, but you only stay in the previous exposures. On the north side! And the snow conditions here are really good. The blades of grass are also sticking out in places on the north side up to the summits - so no large, uniformly white areas. In all other exposures there is some snow but you have to look at it - very different. Nothing works on the south side. Only in the last 300 m of altitude that the area offers. More than 2 stars are not possible here in winter.

Snow quality

Outstanding in the morning. The snow stopped falling on Wednesday afternoon and you could tell that it was already lying a bit. But great to ride. At lunchtime a little snowfall set in and with the onset of precipitation it became quite steamy and unfortunately the good quality was gone. Damp but still nice to ride. Won't have a good effect on the next few days though. Overall really good and better than Monday.

Due to the mild temperatures during the day, the drift snow was able to consolidate for the next few days. In my case, still with a slight loss of firmness due to warming. Drift snow should be less of a problem without fresh snow. Pay attention to the time of day!

Overall impression

Really nice day. Out and about all day and only had good snow. On paths that are used as access routes, it can be tight up to 1550. Word is slowly getting around that the area is still relatively stress-free without carrying anything. I can count such days on 2 hands this season. Unfortunately, the weather was much worse than forecast. Very flat light. In total something between 3 and 4 stars. With good visibility it would have been 4.
