Der Winter ist noch nicht vorbei! Variantentag am Hintertuxer Gletscher

Overall impression
Snow condition
The last snowfalls have made it even better, from 2000 onwards it can be ridden properly, no danger in "normal" terrain from sharks etc.
Snow quality
Depending on exposure, time and altitude, 3 to 4 stars. Towards midday and in places exposed to the sun, it quickly became damp, but was still easy to ride. Perfect for May, therefore 4.
Risks
Basically good conditions. As everywhere according to CRs on the main Alpine ridge, the wind was freshening up here too, bringing new drift snow. There were one or two mini-boards to be seen behind blown-in terrain edges, otherwise wet loose snow slides in line with the temperature.
Overall impression
Late winter is trying hard to make up for the weak main course (high winter). Keep up the good work!
