There is hardly any avalanche danger at the moment, although two relatively new wet snow avalanches could be seen. However, nothing is possible off the slopes anyway.
Overall impression
Summer skiing in Hintertux with rather little snow. You can still get to the Fernerhaus, but the descent there is almost completely bare in places and on glacier ice. Some of the ice also comes out at the top. All in all, ok for August, but you don't have to do it.
