It's ok for October, but it's not really enough, you can just about get up and down the unprepared pistes, but it won't last more than 2 days in the valley. A maximum of 30cm of settled snow at the top, which is great on the slopes, but not really enough off-piste, of course, and the trend is decreasing rapidly.
Snow quality
Steep, partly damp, partly rough. Challenging to ride and not much fun.
Risks
The lack of snow is certainly the bigger problem, but you also have to watch out for wet snow, especially on steep meadow slopes, there have already been one or two slides, and this will continue as temperatures rise.
Overall impression
Okay for October and to avoid the crowds on the glaciers, otherwise forget it.
