Snow condition

Snow condition

3 von 5 Sterne

Good snow conditions, fresh snow, above 2,000 meters everything is easy to ski, stone contact sometimes possible, but avoidable with the right choice of terrain

Snow quality

5 von 5 Sterne

Around 40 cm of fresh snow at the beginning of the day, bottomless powder & very fluffy, face shots guaranteed! However, some of the fresh snow turned into a hard, crumbly (wind-pressed) cover.

Risks

In some places, a weak layer formed 5-10 cm under the cover (which had been wind-pressed during the day), which gave way even under low loads. Heavy drift snow deposits on the side facing away from the wind.

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne

Actually 4 stars - but an extra star for October! First lines, powder turns, face shots, jumps and butter-soft landings.
Poor visibility until midday, but always good windows of opportunity. Even blue skies again in the afternoon. Rode through to the last ascent despite burning thighs ;)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
