As you drive up the road to Hochfügen, you become increasingly aware of it as you arrive. Poor snow conditions in Fügen. I was already aware of it beforehand, but sometimes Hochfügen could surprise you with its high basin. Unfortunately not today. 10-15cm of snow and it doesn't really get any more with altitude. Although on average it's more like 10.

Cold and without a lid, slopes very occasionally icy otherwise ok!

Risks

It didn't matter because offside really doesn't work. And if anyone asks, yes, there were some heading towards Gilfert, but the risk of injury is very high here and is clearly more important than the risk of avalanches.

If you want to go shark fishing, it's better to wait, otherwise it will be eaten up along with your skis. Tuxer are simply very rocky and still need a lot of snow to get going. I skied up once before the start of the lift and then went piste skiing. Good for training and you don't have to queue at the lift. Significantly more ski tourers than skiers. 8er Jet and Hochfügen 2000 have been open since today.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
